Product Cleaning and Disinfecting

Basic Instructions

Below are the recommended cleaning and disinfecting procedures for each of our materials.

Clear and Frosted Acrylic

Our Frosted and Clear Acrylic can be safely cleaned and disinfected with non-abrasive acrylic cleaners that do not contain ammonia:

Clean
  • Novus® No. 1 – Plastic Clean & Shine
  • Brillianize® Acrylic CleanerMild soap and water solution – 1 tsp of soap per quart of water
Disinfect
  • 1/3 cup bleach per gallon of water
  • 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water

When cleaning Frosted and Clear Acrylic, always be sure to use a soft, non-abrasive cloth, such as a microfiber or lint free cloth, and apply light pressure only. Never use paper towels as it will scratch the Acrylic.

Whiteboards and Glass Boards

Our Whiteboards can be safely cleaned and disinfected with:

Clean
  • Mild soap and water
  • Glass Cleaner
  • Ammonia Solution (1/2 cup ammonia per gallon of water)
Disinfect
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Bleach Solution (2.5 tbsp bleach per gallon of water)

When cleaning Whiteboards and Glass boards, always be sure to use a soft, non-abrasive cloth, such as a microfiber or lint free cloth, and apply light pressure only.

Fabrics

Our Fabrics can be safely cleaned and disinfected with:

Clean
  • Water-based foam or upholstery cleaner or dry-cleaning solvents
Disinfect
  • Disinfectant sprays

When cleaning Fabrics it is recommended to vacuum the material first. Never saturate Fabrics with liquids as it may cause a water ring. Always be sure to test cleaning solutions in a small, inconspicuous area first.

EchoScape™

Our EchoScape™ panels are made with compressed colored polyester fibers, therefore the colors do not fade or run. EchoScape™ can be safely cleaned and disinfected with the following solutions and using a spray bottle for application, do not oversoak:

Clean
  • Equal parts soap and warm (NOT hot) water
    • For tougher stains, blot the affected area with a soft, white, lint-free cloth
  • Fabric or carpet cleaners
Disinfect
  • 75% alcohol spray

When cleaning EchoScape™ always be sure to test it on a small inconspicuous area first. Vacuum EchoScape™ material before cleaning to remove loose dirt and dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners and cleaners containing ketones, kerosene, and petroleum products.

Laminate

Our Laminate can be safely cleaned and disinfected with:

Clean
  • Multi-Surface Cleaners
  • Mild Soaps
Disinfect
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Disinfectant sprays
  • Bleach Solution (10% bleach and 90% water)

When cleaning Laminate, always be sure to use a soft, non-abrasive cloth, such as a microfiber or lint free cloth, and apply light pressure only. Rinse with clean water using a clean, non-abrasive cloth. Do not flood the laminate, especially near seams, since water can penetrate and cause the substrate to swell. Dry the surface with a clean, non-abrasive cloth.

Aluminum Frames

Our Aluminum Frames can be safely cleaned and disinfected with:

Clean
  • Mild soap and water
Disinfect
  • Bleach solution (1 tbsp bleach per gallon of water)

When cleaning Aluminum Frames it is recommended to use a soft, non-abrasive cloth, such as a microfiber or lint free cloth, and apply light pressure only.
